As Commander of DAV Chapter 12 Black Mountain, I am excited about the future of our Chapter and the team of leaders who have stepped forward to serve.
Our newly elected and appointed officers represent a diverse group of Veterans and supporters who bring a wide range of experiences, backgrounds, talents, and perspectives to the table. While our backgrounds may be different, we are united by a common mission: serving Veterans, their families, caregivers, and survivors with dignity, compassion, and purpose.
What excites me most is not only the diversity of our leadership team, but the energy, commitment, and enthusiasm they bring to the Chapter. These officers are ready to roll up their sleeves, listen to our members, and build programs that make a meaningful impact in our community.
As we move forward, you can expect events and activities that are welcoming, inclusive, and representative of all who have served. We are committed to creating opportunities that foster connection, camaraderie, service, and advocacy while ensuring every member feels valued and respected.
Whether you are a longtime member, a newly joined Veteran, a spouse, family member, caregiver, or supporter, there is a place for you in Chapter 12. Together, we will continue to honor the legacy of those who came before us while building a stronger future for the next generation of Veterans.
